The Hole in One Bet

It was a sunny day at the golf course, and Jim and his buddies were ready to play a round. As they were getting ready to tee off, Jim came up with an idea.

"Hey guys, I'm feeling lucky today," he said. "How about we make a bet?"

The other guys looked at him skeptically. "What kind of bet?" asked Tom.

Jim grinned. "A hole in one bet. Each of us puts in $20, and whoever gets a hole in one wins the pot."

The guys thought about it for a moment, and then nodded in agreement. They all chipped in their $20 and headed to the first tee.

The first few holes went by without any luck, but Jim was feeling confident. He was a decent golfer, and he had a good feeling about his game that day.

On the seventh hole, Jim stepped up to the tee and lined up his shot. He took a deep breath, swung his club, and watched as the ball soared through the air.

The ball landed on the green, bounced once, and then disappeared into the hole.

Jim couldn't believe it – he had just gotten a hole in one!

He turned to his buddies, who were cheering and clapping. "Pay up, boys!" he said with a grin.

The other guys grudgingly handed over their $20 bills, but they were all laughing and congratulating Jim on his amazing shot.

From that day on, the hole in one bet became a tradition among Jim and his buddies. They never got tired of trying to hit that perfect shot and win the pot, and they always had a great time on the course.
